nurse in the UK, sharing experiences with Vitae Professionals

Testimonials

  • I moved to England, where I started working at Goring Hall Hospital as a registered nurse in an elective surgery unit. I found colleagues who were very helpful in integrating me into the team. They were always extremely kind and supportive, especially when it came to adapting to new procedures and the bureaucracy of transitioning from an Italian hospital to an English one.Vitae Professionals supported me throughout the process of document translation, NMC registration, and job search. Eleonora was there from the very beginning. I always received clear and timely feedback at every step. She helped me complete online documents and answered all my questions. I can only thank her for her efficiency and kindness!

  • Hello everyone! I'm Giulia, and together with Alice, we started a few months ago as operating room nurses in Bordeaux, at the Tivoli Clinic. Although this is our first post-graduation work experience, with a bit of effort and curiosity, we’ve managed to integrate well. The operating room gives us the opportunity to learn new things every day, exploring different specialties: from orthopedics to gynecology, from urology to aesthetics. We would like to thank Eleonora and Daniela from Vitae Professionals, who supported us at every stage of the hiring process, from the application to the registration with the National Order of Nurses (ONI). Their help was crucial in making everything easier. We are very happy living in Bordeaux, a wonderful and lively city, offering us so much both professionally and personally.

  • My name is Ludovica, I am a midwife, and I have been working in the UK for about two years.I came across Vitae Professionals purely by chance, and at the time, it seemed too good to be true. Eleonora took care of my case from the very beginning, thoroughly answering all my concerns and providing high-quality practical and emotional support at every stage.Despite the lengthy English bureaucratic processes, I have been working for two years at ESNEFT in Colchester, and I am completely satisfied. I constantly receive support from my colleagues, often attend lessons and complementary courses, enjoy flexibility with shifts, and my professional role has never felt so autonomous, independent, and rewarding.I would do it all over again a thousand times and highly recommend Vitae, without whom none of this would have been possible!

  • I’ve always wanted to work in France, and with Vitae Professionals, I was able to make this dream come true. I left Italy a few months ago to start working in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Paris. They helped me get in touch with the hospital, specifically with the unit I wanted, and also supported me in preparing for the interviews. They were by my side throughout the entire process, from registering with the nursing council to starting my job.I think it would have been really difficult without them because there's the risk of getting lost in the bureaucracy of a country you barely know. I want to give special thanks to Daniela and Eleonora, who guided me through this long journey.Thank you.

  • I was hired by Southampton General Hospital as a scrub nurse in the HPB (Hepatobiliary) specialty. This has always been the setting where I wanted to work since graduating, and this English hospital listened to and fulfilled my request to work in the operating room. I completed a 6-month trial period during which, while working, I learned how to perform as a scrub nurse. My colleagues closely supported and trained me until I was able to work completely independently, collaborating with my fellow scrub nurses!

  • I started working in Paris as a nurse in an Intensive Care and Post-Intensive Care Unit of APHP, right after graduating in Italy. The hospital where I work provides top-quality care in emergency, surgery, and intensive care pathways. It is equipped with some of the most innovative technologies in the healthcare field and offers a highly professional, human, and welcoming work environment. Integration into the team was immediate, especially thanks to the specific language training provided by Vitae Professionals.Vitae Professionals and its network of professionals supported me throughout the entire training and job search process, in addition to providing complete assistance with all administrative procedures (recognition of my degree and professional qualification in France).Throughout the entire process, Eleonora, Elisabeth, and Alexandra continuously supported and helped me, answering all my questions and doubts with precision and care. All I can say is a huge thank you!

  • I would like to thank the entire Vitae Professionals team, especially Ana Forte and all the teachers who supported me through the OET and this great professional and personal adventure. Without them, my preparation and adaptation in Dublin would have been much more difficult. Choosing Ireland as a place to live was one of the best decisions of my life! Thank you for all the effort and dedication, and for making my dream easier and more achievable.

  • “Today I did my third shift as a nurse in Paris. Although it was hard to leave my home in Portugal just after the holidays, I was warmly welcomed by my colleagues in my department and start this adventure. My colleagues have all been willing to help me integrate. They've all been very nice to me, which has helped me adapt well.”

  • “Hello, I've been a nurse for almost four years now and I came to work in the UK just over a year ago. Although it was a difficult decision at first, especially being away from family and friends, it was ideal for me because I wanted to face new challenges and get to know other realities. I've always been curious about working in the NHS, given the prestige it has built up over the years. I'm working in Neurology and I'm becoming more and more captivated by it! Vitae Professionals helped me a lot during my relocation process, and I can't thank them enough for all their support.”

  • “We are Magda and Wilson, and we have been living in the UK, more specifically in Southampton, for 2 years. We don't regret the change of country, not only because the pay is much better compared to Portugal, but also because we are treated much better here. We do progress in our careers quite easily, and so, more responsibility is given to us. We can say that moving to the UK has made it easy for us to have our independence and it has also been an experience! It's not that scary to take a leap, and you can do it as well.”

  • I would highly recommend this recruiting agency. They are the best, you can just relax knowing that they are doing all the hard work on your behalf from arranging interviews to providing information or just listening to you when you are anxious or scared. A wonderful experience dealing with Eleonora - from day 1 guiding me and ensuring the deal was sealed till the very end. Thank you so much, you are the best, and then Marcia (VP Formação) who was a great teacher and I was able to pass my OET with all her hard work and countless efforts, she is simply amazing! Thank you so much Vitae Professionals, I'm finally living my dreams!
